Welchen Stil bevorzugt Ihr?

Was gehört alles zur Hochzeitsdeko?

Hochzeitsdeko Ideen: Was muss man bei Tischdeko beachten?

Sitzplans solltet Ihr jedoch einige wichtige Punkte beachten.

richtig.

kreative Geschenke.

Was sollten Hochzeits-Gastgeschenke kosten?

Wenn Du Dir unsicher bist, was Du

If you choose a bridal hairstyle with short hair, you have many different options. You can wear your hair down, tie it into a loose chignon, or put it up into an elegant chignon. Short hair can also be styled with a veil or a barrette to give the bridal hairstyle more wedding glamour.

If you have short hair, you can opt for a pixie cut, for example. This not only looks great, but is also very practical as you don't have to worry about your hair on your wedding day. A bob is also a good choice for bridesmaids and brides with short hair. This one not only looks elegant but is also very practical.

Combine bridal hairstyle with veil

You are looking for a romantic and elegant wedding hairstyle? Then a bridal hairstyle with veil might be just the thing for you! The veil is a true classic among wedding accessories and is guaranteed to conjure up a unique and romantic bridal look for you. Whether you choose a short or long veil, is entirely up to you. The only important thing is that it matches your hairstyle and your wedding dress. A bridal hairstyle with a veil can be suitable for both short and long hair. The most important question here is what effect you want to achieve with it. For a romantic and soft bridal look, long, curly hair is best, which you can let fall back with the veil. Short hair, on the other hand, can also be combined into a voluminous updo with a veil.

Bridal hairstyles with long hair

If you choose a bridal hairstyle with long hair, you simply have endless possibilities. Long hair can be styled in almost any direction and you can choose the most diverse looks. For a bridal hairstyle with long hair that looks a bit more glamorous, you can opt for a curly hairstyle, for example. To do this, first curl your hair into soft curls with a curling iron or a round brush. Then you can fix the curls with a hairspray.

Alternatively, you can also choose a bridal hairstyle with long hair that is a bit wilder. In this case, you can, for example, braid a pigtail or wear your hair open. Again, if you want, you can crown your bridal hairstyle with a veil.

High pinned bridal hairstyles

If you are looking for a bridal hairstyle with long hair that is a bit more romantic, you can opt for an updo, for example. For this, your hair is first tied up at the back of your head and then pinned up into a chignon. If you want, you can then crown your hair with a beautiful veil.

Hair wreaths and other hair accessories as part of the bridal hairstyle

Here we are right on trend! Bridal hairstyles with hair wreaths are a great way to look romantic and elegant at the same time. Short bridal hairstyles can also look very romantic when combined with a flower crown. Long bridal hairstyles can be spiced up with various accessories such as a veil, hair combs or hair clips. Even bridal hairstyles that are pinned up can look very elegant with hair combs.

Hair wreaths are one of the most beautiful accessories for the bride. These can be made of flowers, ribbons, feathers or just beautiful strands. The headdress can also be customized to match the hairstyle. For example, the bride can wear a tiara if she has an updo hairstyle. Most wedding dresses are kept simple, so that the headdress is particularly well accentuated.

Planning the food at your wedding: how to organise the perfect banquet

Getting married is one of the most exciting things you can do in life. You think of all the big things you have to plan and organize and all the little details you have to take care of. One of the most important things when planning a wedding is the wedding food. After all, what would a wedding be without a delicious wedding dinner?

Preliminary considerations: What you should consider for a wedding banquet

Every bride and groom want to serve their guests something delicious and special. But what to consider when choosing a wedding dinner? We have put together some tips for you.

First of all, it's important to think about how many guests you want to invite. Because depending on the number of guests, the menu will also be coordinated. In addition, it is important that you decide on a wedding food that fits your wedding style. For example, if you want to celebrate an elegant wedding, then a simple menu with classic dishes is the right choice. On the other hand, if you want a rustic or themed wedding, then you can also choose a food to match it.

Remember the seating arrangement at the wedding banquet

The seating arrangement at the wedding dinner is important, because it decides with whom you will sit at the same table. Therefore, when planning your wedding reception, make sure that you carefully plan the seating arrangement and take into account who you want to sit at which table.

When planning the seating arrangement, you should first consider how many guests you want to invite. Depending on the number of guests, you will also need a different number of tables and chairs. Once you have determined the number of guests and the number of tables and chairs, you can start planning the seating arrangement. For this, it is best to coordinate exactly with the caterer.

Who should sit next to whom?

Or is there a certain order? Which guests should sit at which table? And what if someone absolutely does not want to sit next to his brother-in-law? Planning a wedding dinner is not that easy. In order to make your guests happy and to ensure that the meal goes off without a hitch, planning the seating arrangements in advance is a must.

Tips for choosing the caterer

For the wedding dinner, you can book a caterer. In this regard, there are several options. The first option is a private caterer. This then comes with the food and drinks to a specific location where the wedding dinner will take place. Advantages of a private caterer are that you can better control the quality of the food and drinks. The selection tends to be more flexible.

The second option is a restaurant. There you can meet with the caterer and order the wedding food. Advantages of a restaurant are that you can buy the drinks on the spot and you don't have to pay the caterer extra to get there.

Buffet or service? What is a better fit for a wedding dinner?

When it comes to wedding food, there are many decisions to make. One of the most important questions is: buffet or service?

With a buffet, guests can help themselves and choose food according to their own tastes. With table service, the food is served by the staff to the guests directly at their seats.

Both options have their advantages and disadvantages. Which variant is more suitable for a wedding dinner depends on the wishes and needs of the bride and groom.

1. The size of the wedding cake

The wedding cake does not necessarily have to be huge - often a small, two-tier cake is enough. The most important thing is that it is well-proportioned and fits in with the rest of the decorations and the ambiance of your wedding. Nevertheless, keep the number of wedding guests in mind! After all, everyone should have the opportunity to have a piece of your special cake.

2. Style: romantic, modern or classic?

Decide on a style that suits you. Most couples opt for a romantic wedding cake. But what makes a romantic cake? The answer is quite simple: love! It radiates love and romance and is therefore a great choice for your wedding.

If you choose a romantic cake, then you should also choose the appropriate decoration. Flowers, hearts and other romantic motifs are the perfect choice for your wedding cake. The colors should also be harmonious. Pink, red and white are the most popular colors for the romantic wedding cake.

The modern wedding cake is diverse in color, shape and size. The traditional wedding cake with white fondant and marzipan is not the only option for brides and grooms nowadays. Modern wedding cakes can be made and decorated with many different materials, such as flowers, fruits or even jelly.

The traditional wedding cake consists of three tiers - each with its own decoration and meaning. The bottom tier is the strongest and supports the entire cake. Therefore, it is often referred to as the "pillar." The middle tier is the "bridal tier" and the top tier is the "crown cake".

Each of these three tiers can be decorated with different decorations. The most popular wedding cake decorations are flowers, pearls, ribbons, lace, bows and of course the names or initials of the bride and groom.

3. Cost of a wedding cake

Have an eye on the costs involved in making a wedding cake. These costs can vary greatly and depend on many different factors. So, you should inform yourself well before you make a decision. Per piece you can calculate about 4 to 8 euros. However, this is only a guideline that you should discuss with your caterer, pastry chef or us. You can calculate with about 1.5 pieces per guest.

4. What shape should the wedding cake be?

There are no more limits for the choice of the wedding cake. In addition to classic circles and squares, heart and star shapes are also very popular. Thus, you can give free rein to your creativity and customize your wedding cake.

5. Decorating the wedding cake: What decoration should the wedding cake have?

Here, too, there are no limits to your imagination. In addition to classic flowers, you can also decorate the cake with photos of the bride and groom, hearts or other romantic motifs. Just make sure that the decoration fits the rest of the wedding concept.

Are there alternatives to wedding cake for your wedding?

The wedding cake is such a big part of the wedding celebration- but what if you don't really like cakes? Well, there are some great alternatives to wedding cake that can be just as beautiful and delicious!

It is the most populated region in Spain and is composed of eight provinces, each with its history, its identity and its diversity, which enrich it and contribute to its gastronomic, folkloric and artistic richness ( like Seville's Cathedral). The provinces are: Jaen, Cordoba, Seville, Huelva, Cadiz, Malaga, Granada and Almeria; Seville is the capital. It is located in the warm-temperate zone of the Earth, so its climate has some very definite characteristics, such as the mildness of its temperatures and the dryness of its summers.

Art?Culture? Food? Nature? It has it all.

Undoubtedly, the uniqueness and personality of Andalusia is determined by its geographical setting. According to Sevillian historian Domínguez Ortiz, "the essence of Andalusia must be sought in its geographical reality on the one hand, and on the other, in the conscience of its inhabitants. From the geographical point of view, the southern lands as a whole are too wide and varied to include them all in one unit, but three Andalusias; the Sierra Morena, the Valley and the penibética".

Its more than 800 km extend from the province of Almeria and the Mediterranean Sea, to the province of Huelva and the Atlantic Ocean, where the sun shines almost all year round, with mild winters. The easternmost coast is the coast of Almeria and Huelva is the westernmost, bordering Portugal. The influences of the different peoples that inhabited Andalusia, such as the Iberians, the Phoenicians, the Tartessians, the Romans and later the Arab domination, have forged a society with extraordinary cultural richness. In the oldest villages we find roman ruins or amphitheaters mixed with Andalusian culture with true works of art.

Autumn weddings in Andalusia: Why it is an amazing choice.

Autumn weddings in Andalusia. Advantages of getting married in Autumn in Southern Spain.
Check out our publication on Confetti Wedding Magazine Ca.

3 Important facts that made autumn weddings in Andalusia amazing:

It is the ideal season for rural settings and places with amazing style and personality; places that are warm and welcoming. We can think of an old convent, a castle, a rural house or any traditional country place (Cortijo, Hacienda, Hotels with vineyards or olive groves).
There are three things that contribute to the beauty of those autumn months, to create that warm and romantic atmosphere:

  1. First of all the light. A dimmer and softer light than the one in summer, a light that envelops everything and allows us to create unique atmospheres. A light very much appreciated by the photographers. The light becomes an accomplice to be part of memorable, idyllic photographs, like something out of a fairy tale. Beautiful photographs to remember for a lifetime, the beauty of that day.
  2. We can also talk about the temperature; a temperature that makes daytime weddings much more pleasant for outdoor weddings. With this we mean the first months of autumn, such as September and October. After the hot summer Andalusian days, in which an outdoor daytime wedding are sometimes impossible due to the high temperatures, the possibility of preparing a wedding in the
in the middle of an olive grove, or looking over some vineyard, in autumn, is very attractive. Another thing that this temperature allows you to wear evocative and romantic wedding dresses.
Sleeved gowns, in which tulle, organza and lace would have the possibility to be the main character of your idyllic and unforgettable outfit.
  3. The third element we can mention are the colors. While it is true that autumn is the time of the year when the vegetation begins to lose its splendor, the trees compensate by shedding their leaves, creating majestic landscapes of dreamy and romantic beauty.

Let us not forget to mention that Autumn is harvest time full of chestnuts, apples and not ofrgetting one of our personal favourite: MUSHROOMS, don‘t forget to add these to your menu!

ADVANTAGES

The advantages of a wedding in autumn are also important. We have talked about beauty and romanticism, but we cannot forget the practical side of the celebration. In certain venues fewer weddings take place in autumn compared to the spring or summer, so it is easier to find a venue (especially in the month of November). The same goes for the photographer, caterer, caterers, suppliers, etc. There is more availability and as a result : better prices.

Autumn in Andalusia is the ideal season, neither too cold nor too hot; moreover, it has some of the most unique landscapes in Europe. It has parks and natural landscapes of incredible beauty. We can mention, among others, the Doña Ana National Park (Huelva and Seville),National Park of Sierra Nevada (Granada), the Alcornocales Natural Park (Cádiz-Málaga),
Sierra de Grazalema (Cádiz-Málaga), the Natural Park Las Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas (Jaén), Laguna Amarga Natural Reserve (Lucena-Córdoba), Sierra de Andújar Natural Park (Jaén) and Paraje Natural Desierto de Tabernas (Almería).

In autumn weddings we will find romanticism, beauty, cozy atmospheres to dream and dream and remember forever. The bride and groom will find that something different, peculiar, that will make them
dream and later remember that special and unique day.

Wedding favors around the world: Differences and new ideas.

Have you ever wondered the origin of the small gifts that the bride and groom give their guests? Where does this idea come from? Is it practiced in all cultures? For example, the very famous Italian "bomboniera", whose name derives from the French bon-bon; how did this begin?

Wedding favors worldwide: one of our favorite topics.

Almost everything we see today at weddings has its origin in rituals and superstitions that have been transformed over time and that have taken place in our way of life.

Wedding favors. Soap and tea.

Italian is one of the precursors of wedding favors. We have to go back to the end of the 15th century to find the first "bomboniera" in Italy; in France we find their roots in the 1700's. At the beginning they were made for the nobles, who liked to carry sweets and candies. The old bombonieras were real jewels, made with ivory, gold and mother-of-pearl. In the 1900’s they became popular and other elements started being used, such as ceramics, the outcome of fusing the earth‘s four primary elements: earth, water, air and fire. In the '30s and '40s the "vetreria di Murano" made great creations; later, silver and porcelain began to produce magnificent small works of art, thus entering the group of gifst used as wedding favors, known all over the world today. It was only in 1896 that the bomboniera became a gift from the bride and groom to their guests. With Vittorio Emanuele and Elena of Montenegro‘s wedding the bomboniera‘s history began its adventure that lead to it becoming the tradition we know today, a wedding day souvenir souvenir with which to thank the guests for the gifts received and for accompanying the couple on that special day. We can consider it the last thought of the bride and groom to their guests and at the same time the first gift they give as a couple.

Italy is the country that marked these steps, maybe because of its culture, its traditions, it is the right place for it. We know that many, if not all, of the traditions associated with marriage have their origin in rituals, symbolisms and superstitions. In Italy the bomboniera began to be used with the famous "confetti", which began to spread among the nobles after the discovery of the "Indies". In the "confetti", the bitter-sweet flavors are mixed, symbolizing the bittersweetness of married life. The number of "confetti" is also important, in Italy 5 of them were and still are given as a symbol of health, love, money, happiness and fertility.

Of course the shape and presentation has evolved and nowadays bonbons have a thousand and one shapes, but Italian weddings cannot miss the "confetti". In Italy the confetti industry is very important and varied; they come in various colors and flavors, for all tastes.

In Italy, the confetti production began in the 15th century in Sulmona, a small town in Abruzzo, in the province of Aguila, where you can still visit the "Museo dell'arte e della tecnologia confettiera" (Museum of confetti art and technology).

The ”confetti‘s” bomboniera (object/gift) , the truly typical Italian confectionery, has been transformed; we say transformed, because anywhere in the world we can find these small works of art with which the bride and groom want to entertain and thank their guests for having shared with them that important day in their lives.

In our time, the bride and groom, when looking for a gift to give to their guests, try to choose a detail that reflects their tastes and personality as a couple.

Wedding favors in the world

If we take a look around the world, we will notice that wedding favors change from one country to another; we find that in Southern Spain it is very common to give cigars to men and pins to women, although lately we find that fashion and customs are evolving. In most weddings the bride and groom give their guests a small souvenir, like typical products of the area, such as bottles of oil or a small ceramic object.

Russia

As Varvara Peregudova told us, in Russia it is common to give candles, trinkets, authentic Russian honey or small Matryoska dolls with the couple’s initial and themed wedding patterns.

India

In India, a small hand-carved elephant is usually given as a sign of good luck. In Ireland the gift is usually small wedding bells.

Colombia

We spoke to Wedding Planner Julieth Bravo and she told us that in Colombia you can find the following favors:

I think we can say that the wedding favor tradition, whichever it is and no matter how different the favors may be, the guests really appreciate it. The important thing about the details is what they represent, what they mean, what they symbolize. A small detail to thank and to remember having shared with them one if the most important days of your life.

A history of wedding dresses: How Queen Victoria changed it all.

Do you know how wedding dresses have evolved with time? How wedding dresses have changed through history? How did this ‘change to white”happen? The wedding dress is the best kept secret during the wedding preparations ; its style, its fabric, its model, is not revealed, is not known or seen, until the day of the ceremony; moment in which the bride will appear radiant, splendid, wearing it, causing surprise and admiration. Every stitch, every cut, every ornament, is thought for that, for the bride to have her moment, the one she’s been waiting for for so long. Every dress has its own story, its course, its journey; it is the result of a dream. What girl has not ever dreamt of her wedding dress? A dream that normally remains in childhood and is later recovered in life. Then that girl grows up, becomes an adolescent and finally a woman. It will be then the moment to recover that forgotten dream which has been left behind in her childhood's drawer; a dream recovered with the arrival of love and wedding plans

The wedding's dress hidden meanings

A wedding dress is a language in itself. It has symbolized, represented beliefs, superstitions, the bride and groom's family power and it has expressed society's changes and events. For example, at the beginning of the 20th century we see very ostentatious dresses with very long trains; the length of the train was associated with the duration of the marriage, the longer it was, the more years of married life (your marriage would last). Everything about the wedding dress has transformed and evolved through time, from the color to the design, adapting to changes in the world.

Some interesting history facts:

It seems that already in the first civilization of history, the Sumerian, discovered only in the middle of the 20th century, they found indications of a specific dress for the wedding ceremony; this could be the beginning of the wedding dress’s history. This civilization was very important. It arose in southern Mesopotamia between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers about 3500 years BC. It was formed by the Sumerian, Assyrian and Babylonian peoples. It is considered the first civilization in history and among other things they invented writing and beer (what would we do without beer?  LOL).

The first to define a wedding outfit were the Chinese, some 3000 years ago. The Zhon Dynasty defined a range of permitted colors. The colors changed with the Han Dynasty that introduced the use of colors according to the seasons: green in spring, red in summer, yellow in autumn and black in winter.

In the West, the current tradition has its origin in the Renaissance. At that time, women chose one of their best suits of bright colors and gold embroidery for the wedding. The custom was to go from her home to her husband's on a white horse. This was a way families had of boasting; the more ostentatious the dress, the more flamboyant the procession and the more power the family manifested .

The moment that changed wedding dress’ history is undoubtedly that of Queen Victoria of England, when in 1840 she married Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. It is not the first time that a royalty member got married in white, but that dress, her dress, changed history.

The first royal lady to marry in white was Princess Philippa of England in 1406, at her wedding to King Eric of Scandinavia. In 1558 Mary Queen of Scots, in an act of rebellion, married the future King of France in white. At that time in the French court white was considered mourning. In 1816 Princess Charlotte of Wales married in white; it was a silver lamé dress of the Empire court that she wore at her wedding to Prince Leopold of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld. White was a synonym of luxury because of the high cost of bleaching the fabric.

The one and only Queen Victoria

Let's go back to 1840 to the wedding of Queen Victoria and the history or legend behind her wedding dress. It is said that she wanted to help, and in fact she helped the embroiderers of the kingdom, who with the arrival of the industrial revolution, had lost their way of subsisting, because the arrival of the machines had practically eliminated the artisans work methodology and value.

The queen was very fond of Honiton lace, which was very well known and famous, thus she decided that her wedding dress should be made with that lace, and it had to be white to be worn in all its splendor. Mary Bettans was in charge of making it and we already know the result.

It was a majestic dress with a five meter train that caused sensation and envy among women. They all wanted to imitate her and this is the main reason why the color white is found in all bridal fashion catalogs nowadays.

The wonders of the 20th century

The 20th century leaves us with several trends that change according to the decade. The first half is a sadder and less prosperous period, with less creativity. In Spain, for example, during the recession brides married in black, because doing it in white was a luxury they couldn’t afford.

1963

1947. Christian Dior seeks to recover the sophistication of the previous century and introduces very marked waists and very vaporous skirts.

1970. The influence of the hippie movement is noticeable; floral details, V neckline, more freedom of movement.

The 21st century

The 21st century is marked by the brides´ total freedom for brides to express, define and reinvent themselves in their wedding dress. There are many new fabrics to choose from and personal taste takes over. It is a unique opportunity to choose what suits you best and what expresses your personality.
